REPRODUCTION OF TOPO MAP OF THE COLUMBIA RIVER IN GLASS WALL :: MAIN OFFICE MARTEL FINANCIAL CORPORATION, VANCOUVER, WASHINGTON
This unique project consists of floor-to-ceiling glass panels -- including a curved area -- that form a wall. The map of the Columbia River, which meanders across the wall, utilizes etched areas of differing depths to reflect the actual topographic character of the river. Selected areas of the etched design are paint filled on the back to enhance readability.
