HOW WE REPRODUCE GRAPHICS AND PHOTOGRAPHY ON GLASS
|
|

- 1. A large, good-quality photograph is required to produce a sharp, well defined image on the glass. The better the photograph, the better the results.
- 2. We create a full size, half-tone film negative from the original photograph.
- 3. Next step is to coat the glass with a light-sensitive film emulsion. After drying the film, the negative is placed against the coated surfaced and exposed to light, much as in making a screen for screen printing. When the exposure is complete, the film is sprayed with water from a pressure washer. This washes away areas where the light did not hit the film exposing the glass underneath. Where the glass is exposed, the sandblaster will etch the surface of the glass.
- 4. The finished image successfull reproduced on the surface of the glass.
